Natland Investment Group continues to expand its activities in the energy and renewables sector. Together with a pair of experienced managers in the field , Jan Brázda and Bronislav Převrátil, it has established a joint venture under the brand name Revoltum.
The newly formed joint venture combines the investment strength and experience of Natland with the expertise and technological background of the partners. The common goal is to deliver projects that combine economic returns with technological sustainability and long-term value. The aim of the newly formed company is to develop and implement projects in the energy and renewables sector, to support the transformation of the energy sector and to create innovative solutions in sustainable energy infrastructure, including vertical integration of the business. The vision is a clean energy sector that is decentralised and connected to market realities and people’s needs.
“The creation of a joint venture with people who have proven experience in managing complex energy projects is the next step in the Group’s development in the energy sector. We are building on the successes we have achieved in this segment and will now work on them together. We are an investment group that is changing the way energy is produced, managed and distributed.” said Tomáš Raška, founder and Managing Partner of Natland Group.
New Revoltum partnership
Natland’s partners in the joint venture are Jan Brázda and Bronislav Převrátil, who will be responsible for the company’s operations, strategic management and further development. They see the new project as a natural continuation of their professional career and the fulfilment of their long-term ambition to build their own projects in the field of renewable energy.
Jan Brázda has worked for more than 20 years in consulting in the CEE region and the UK, most recently as one of the co-owners of the international consulting company PwC. His career has focused on strategic business plans, models, transactions, financing and public-private relationships. He has focused on the infrastructure sector, renewables, large-scale batteries, hydrogen, decentralisation, decarbonisation of industry and transport, and the general topic of sustainability as an opportunity for corporate growth. “After years in corporations, I felt the urge to fulfill a childhood dream – to start my own company and invest in my own projects. It’s never too late to do what you truly enjoy and find fulfillment in,” says Jan Brázda.
Bronislav Převrátil, until recently CEO of Chart Ferox, awarded as Manager of the Year 2022, has implemented a number of international projects with high added value in the sustainable and modern energy sector – especially in the field of integrated systems for distribution and storage of hydrogen, LNG or biogas, including vertical integration. Behind him are the implementation of dozens of projects to reduce the energy and environmental intensity of operations, support innovation and employee engagement. “After twenty years in charge of the company, it is time for new challenges. I am looking forward to bringing my experience in managing innovation and implementing industrial projects to a business that has a clear goal – to transform the Czech energy sector.” adds Bronislav Převrátil.
The Natland Group has more than 20 years of experience in the energy sector. In the past, it has successfully implemented several projects in the field of renewable energy, as well as those related to heating, heat generation and distribution or energy asset management. Examples include the development and subsequent sale of the operator of one of the largest solar power plants, Energy21, to a multinational fund, or the stabilization and transformation of the Bratislava steam-gas cycle PPC with subsequent exit. Natland was also behind the successful transformation of Energo Příbram, which it modernised into a stable and environmentally friendly energy company within five years and sold to strategic investor Veolia.
“The current and especially the future transition of the energy sector from old to new will bring space and opportunities for medium-sized players. The future of the energy sector is not just in the hands of the giants, but also in a network of agile, technically strong players who can create, scale and operate green resources quickly. We don’t want to limit ourselves to solar, we want to be comprehensive.” added Jan Brázda.
Revoltum wants to be part of a change that builds on local solutions, innovation and new business models. It will focus on investments in renewable energy, battery storage, biogas, hydrogen and companies operating in this sector. The company has hundreds of millions of crowns of higher investments mainly in the CEE region.
