Natland has sold Klika-BP, a company specializing in fire protection. It is being acquired by private investors.

After ten years of intensive transformation and growth, KLIKA-BP is being acquired by a long-term strategic investor. Natland rescued the Jihlava-based company, which has a thirty-year history, from a difficult situation and restructured it; under its leadership, profitability doubled, and it is now handing the company over to its new owner.

The Natland Investment Group has successfully completed the divestiture of its majority stake in KLIKA-BP, a leading provider of comprehensive solutions in the field of fire protection and building safety. The transaction marks the conclusion of a successful turnaround spanning several years, which included a process of formal restructuring, stabilization, and further development of the company, which Natland acquired during a period of significant financial and ownership complications.

A group of private investors, led by KBPH, has become the new owner of KLIKA-BP. These investors have extensive experience in business development, investment, and finance. They are joining the KLIKA-BP group with a long-term vision for its further development and confidence in its future potential. The continuity of management and the group’s strategic direction will remain unchanged. The parties have decided not to disclose the detailed terms of the transaction.

“For us, this was a typical example of an investment where we saw a sound core business and significant potential that had been overshadowed by historical problems. Our goal was to stabilize the company, remove the obstacles hindering its development, create the conditions for its long-term sustainable growth, and find a suitable strategic partner,” says David Manych, Partner for Private Equity & Investments at the Natland Group.

KLIKA-BP is one of the established players in the fire protection market. For more than 30 years, it has provided comprehensive services ranging from the design and planning of fire suppression systems through their delivery and installation to maintenance and related services in the field of fire protection and occupational health and safety. The company operates in the Czech Republic and Slovakia, and its clients include major private and public institutions.

A Successful Turnaround and Readiness for Further Growth

Natland joined the company at a time when it was grappling with, among other things, a complex shareholder structure and uncertainty caused by the death of its majority financial investor. Although the company had a strong market position, high-quality management, and significant know-how, its further development required fundamental restructuring measures.

During his tenure, Natland carried out an extensive reorganization of the group, separating its activities into distinct business lines, which enabled more transparent management, more effective cost control, and efficient operational management. A key part of the transformation was significant investment in operations, as well as support for the effective structuring of management and service teams, which resulted in a substantial improvement in the company’s performance. Between 2020 and 2023, the group’s operating profitability more than doubled, and an organizational structure was established that enables the further development of individual business segments. Today, the company benefits from a reputation built over the long term, strong references, and a solid market position, with its specialized segments in gas fire suppression systems and maintenance services serving as key competitive advantages.

“The sale of the company marks the end of an investment cycle during which we succeeded in achieving our set milestones. The company’s value has increased, and the foundation has been laid for further growth. The new owner is taking over a company in good shape, with a strong management team, a solid customer base, and a clear strategy for future development,” concludes Petr Kubový, Investment Manager at Natland.

CLA Czech Republic provided advisory services for the transaction.
